HOW TO DYE BLACK HAIR EXTENSIONS BLONDE

by CURLS QUEEN

Color change is a challenging thing if you have an idea on dying your hair extensions which match your natural hue to a certain color. Human hair extensions made from Brazilian virgin hair can be dyed and leached at your will, follow the advice and let's try to dye the natural color to blonde this time.

If the hair texture you chose has the color options, then they can not been lightened or bleached because they have been dyed using permanent dyes, the color can hardly been bleached. But if the hair texture you chose has no color options except natural color, then it is okay to be dyed or bleached to achieve hair color you want.

Before bleaching your hair extensions, we have to remind you that it is better not dye synthetic hair extensions and if you are planning an one-off experiment, you can forget it.

Notes:

  • Bleaching will inevitably damage hair extensions more or less, no matter how high of its grade is. The situation of your hair extensions might be worse with chemical process.
  • Dye your hair extensions before installing or after removing, avoid touching hair bleach with your skin, and especially keep the chemicals away from your eyes.
  • Put on mask before operating or conduct at ventilated place.

Materials for dying:

  • CREME DEVELOPER
  • POWDER BLEACH
  • TONING SHAMPOO
  • HAIR TONER FOR BLONDE
  • GLOVES ALUMINUM FOIL
  • PLASTIC GARBAGE BAGS
  • HUMAN HAIR EXTENSIONS

STEP ONE: PREPARE FOR BLEACH

CLEAN AND BLOW DRY YOUR HAIR EXTENSIONS

Wash your hair extensions clean your new or used hair extensions and blow dry your extensions on cool setting. Lay some waterproof cloth on the desk for dying process.

MAKE BLEACH MIXTURE

Mix the powder bleach in creme developer in a bowl, put on your gloves. Scoop a couple scoops of powder bleach and appropriate amount of developer. Observe the mixture and add more developer or bleach to make the mixture not too runny or too thick to get the right consistency.

STEP TWO: APPLY THE BLEACH TO YOUR HAIR EXTENSIONS

TAKE OUT YOUR HAIR BUNDLES

When the bleach mixture prepared, lay out and brush the first bundle of your hair extensions.

APPLY THE BLEACH MIXTURE

Apply the bleach mixture from the bottom and work your way up in the desk. Turn the bundle over and apply the bleach to another side.

FOIL THE HAIR BUNDLES

When you finish applying the bleach mixture, drop the bundle in foil pieces and close it up to keep the heat and avoid liquid leak.

STAND FOR ABOUT 45 MINUTES

Cover the foil and put it aside for 45 minutes. The time is not fixed because when the hair bundles turns to yellow you can take off the foil directly. The more developer you have mixed, the shorter it cost for the color change.

STEP THREE: PROCESS THE BLONDE COLOR TONE

WASH THE HAIR BUNDLES

When the time is up, rinse the hair bundle to stop the bleach and the developer chemicals from processing and lightening hair subsequently.

ADJUST THE COLOR

If the color doesn't meet your expectation, you can bleach again. Mind not over-bleach your hair extensions.

APPLY LIQUID PERMANENT TONER

Apply toning shampoo in your hair to take out brass and make it look more natural. Mix creme developer and liquid toner for blonde and apply the toner mixture to the damp hair. When the color change to a little bit purple, rinse the hair out.
